This is an example of the Copper Portraits that I’ve been making recently. Its a fiddly process but the end result is great I think. Aesthetically they are reflective and almost mirror-like something akin to a Daguerotype. The imagery here derived from a digital file, rephotographed to get a negative and then printed onto copper plate that has previously been coated with varnish and gelatine. If anyone looking is interested in having a portrait or other image put onto copper please do get in touch at firstname.lastname@example.org .
