This was one of a number of film shots I took in Peter Blake’s studio for a book of Michael Peppiatt’s interviews. I imagined the interview like a chess game, hence the little figures on the table. Peter Blake was an extremely charming man and took time to show us around his fascinating studio crammed from top to bottom with a multitude of objects and collections. I managed to get a few reasonable images but struggled with poor light in the studio having stupidly come on the train without flash or other lights imagining that an artist’s studio was bound to be well-illuminated!
