Inspired by the great David Attenborough, this intrepid photographer captures a rare glimpse of an otherwise shy creature from the comfort of his armchair!

Here’s my old friend Pete Bingley, a fine stained-glass designer and musician of note. Also a dapper chap in the sartorial department!

My longstanding friend Lalo Borja and I raise a fraternal glass to welcome the challenges and opportunities of the New Year. Reflected in a sideboard mirror and shakily captured on an iphone!

Happy New Year Everybody!

This old Russian peasant saying is the title of an 8 channel video installation about the history of Russian Modernism by the South African artist William Kentridge. Its on show in the Tanks area of Tate Modern until Jan 20th and is fantastic in my opinion. Kentridge’s work manages to be highly political and absurdly funny at the same time; he has the most astounding technique and sense of theatricality . If you get a chance, try to see it, its free and the sound track is so exciting!

Effortlessly cool on a winter afternoon in the mud, Mr Flame Proof Moth sings songs of everyday happenings to passersby on the banks of the Thames. Hats off to him!
