This was taken a few years ago to mark the sad closing of ‘Hatchards’, an old family firm in Whitstable. The shop is now a Costa Coffee outlet! The traditional look of the shot and the formal way in which it was taken on my old 5×4 camera reflects the charm of a place that has now disappeared.
