Sometimes things just turn out well. This is not a double exposure but a conscious us of reflected surfaces. What I didnt realise at the time was how well the form in the background (‘The Age of Bronze’) complements the face of the reflected foreground figure. This was shot on 35 mm film.

A shaft of light from the nave window in the little church of Iping in West Sussex transformed this shelf of fruit into a luminous composition that in its stillness reminded me of the still-lifes of the great Spanish painter Zurbaran.
