This is one of a number of ‘Ancient Faces’ that I have made over the last months. It has been a struggle because the images are printed onto plaster plates and are subject to contamination which has made the process troublesome to say the least. The yellow colouring is a good accident from my point of view and enhances the general feeling of something that has been subject to time and change. There are about twelve in the series which I hope to exhibit at some point.
